This path is named after the spectacular waterfall Salto do Cabrito you fill find as you follow the trail deep into the lush tropical forest. It starts at the Caldeiras (hot springs) da Ribeira Grande which is also a local sight to see.

Discover the north coast of the island and it’s amazing ocean views. The path will take you to several lookouts overlooking the villages of Mosteiros and Bretanha. This is the perfect trail to admire the endemic flora from laurel bushes to azorean heather.

Salto do Prego is one of São Miguel’s’ most famous trails with its most beautiful waterfall. You will even encounter an abandoned village on the way. Bring a bathing suit for an unbelievable dip in the basin under the falls.
